Lets look for the technical details and modification restriction that made by PERODUA personnel for this Eco-Challenge Race 2009. And the DO and DONT'S are as follows..


LIST OF MODIFICATION RESTRICTIONS

1. Car weight reduction not to be less than 700kg (exclusive of the driver) with full fluid condition (Myvi weight = 980kg).

2. Modification of the below listed items are strictly prohibited:
· Main body structure – A/B/C pillar, floor, side member, front end and collision related
structure
· Cutting, hole punching (more than 20mm in diameter)
· Bending or any type of modification that reduce the structural strength
· Instrument panel
· ABS
· Steering system
· Brake system
· Chassis system – except wheel and tyres
· Transmission – including drive shaft
· Homologated items such as head lamp, rear combi, side turn mirror, 3rd brake light, etc

3. Engine modification:
· Major modifications allowed except to engine block, cylinder head and cylinder head cover
· Modifications to fuel system are allowed.
· Usage of alternative fuel (hydrogen, NGV) is not allowed. All octane booster or fuel
enriching substance are also not allowed
· Adding or removing of parts (attached to engine unit i.e. alternator, pump, air-cond
compressor etc) to help increase fuel efficiency or millage is allowed.


•Major modifications allowed EXCEPT to engine block, cylinder head and cylinder head cover.
•Modifications to fuel system is ALLOWED. All connections must be inspected and approved by appointed Perodua personnel on 20/06/2009 at Speedway PLUS Circuit.
• Usage of alternative fuel (hydrogen, NGV) is NOT ALLOWED. All octane booster or fuel-enriching substance are also NOT ALLOWED.
•Adding or removing of parts (attached to engine unit i.e. alternator, pump, air-cond compressor etc) to help increase fuel efficiency or mileage is ALLOWED.
