SAE-UMP Chapter is a new student chapter in UMP which just establish on March 2009. SAE stands for Society of Automotive Engineers and thus highlight on its role to gather all enthusiasts among students and staff who are into cars, motorsports and automotive technology. SAE-UMP Chapter are now in a mission to form a UMP Formula SAE Team and joining events such PERODUA Eco-Challenge Race are our first step towards the dream. Thus, SAE-UMP Chapter has sent 16 of its student members for this event. Wish us for the best of luck!

Together with the students, the team are also supported by staff and faculty advisors from Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, UMP. There are several Lecturers, Instructor Engineers, and staff that directly contribute to the team. Other core players that involves are Automotive Excellence Centre (AEC), Research and Innovation Department (P&I), Vice-Chancellor Office, and few more departments and centre at Universiti Malaysia Pahang that support the team in term of welfare, logistics and financial.
